Improve your Linked-In Brand

Improve your Linked-In Brand

Linked-In is a critical tool in today’s job search.  Prospective employers and network contacts will review your linked-in profile before they talk with you.

Each week, make a goal to reach out to 1-2 past colleagues and prior business contacts.   Develop your network – you’ll may be surprised on who might be able to help you in your career search.

Remember, your Linked-In profile is not your resume.

  • Your profile should include a picture that is a current and professional photo of you.
  • Complete all the sections of the profile and make sure to have no spelling or grammatical errors.
  • Update your headline to reflect the future desired job you desire.
  • Include  recent achievements or certifications.
  • Describe your professional experience, skills, and abilities as if you were talking to someone you’ve just met.

Recruiting statistics show that the majority of interviews and jobs offers come from personal referrals.

Linked-in is one of the most useful tools today to re-connect with your professional network, get seen by the right recruiters, and give prospective employers great insight into your unique skills and background.
